To Another Moonrise In Hosur

Cassia tree on the distant rock crop
was dipped in milk,
the frangipani had borrowed the moon
on its petals,
juices of the earth rose as leaves misted,
warmth of the day
lay like a coiled snake under the rocks
for the moon’s kiss.

  1. I love your choice of words with the beautiful picture of the frangipani. My favorite lines:
“lay like a coiled snake under the rocks
    for the moon’s kiss.”
    Beautiful!
