Light poured through crack of the door,
a milky softness spilled on the floor and the wall.
One such day when crow cawed from the distant tree,
the axis of life tilted to bring in happiness.
Door opened and prism of joy shook and heaved
till night time when worms slid under the soil.
Shadows lengthened, nodded their sinister heads;
a sheet of somberness softened the edges.
Earth inhaled leaving an absence so heightened
at the hour when warmth was terminated in frostiness.
